Azadeh Nowruz Collection: Chocolate Chickpea Cookies (Box of 6)

The Azadeh Collection is Leyla’s take on a nostalgic Persian cookie — tender, chocolate-glazed and elevated. These delicately sweet cookies are inspired by Nokhodchi and filled with a soft chickpea-based center. They are finished with a smooth chocolate glaze and gold dust.

This collection is an expression of heritage, symbolism, and quiet strength. Named after the Farsi word for freedom, it honors resilience, hope, and the enduring spirit woven through Persian culture. For Nowruz, each cookie is shaped in a custom bird mold inspired by Nasser Ovissi’s iconic avian motif—a recurring symbol in his work.

Each box is a keepsake in itself, adorned with artwork by celebrated Iranian painter Nasser Ovissi. In collaboration with the Ovissi family, we’ve transformed his iconic imagery into collectible packaging—making every box a celebration of art, culture, and the Persian New Year.

Nowruz assortment includes a variety of dark chocolate and white chocolate.

Pair with black tea, cardamom coffee, or a quiet moment of reflection. A meaningful addition to the new year, and a sweet reminder of what we hold close.

Limited quantities available. Orders will be delivered on a rolling basis, with the last orders being delivered by 3/17 (orders that are close to Leyla K. For the highest quality, our chocolates are made without preservatives. Chocolates may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 months. To enjoy, bring to room temperature.
